Urban Environmental Challenge 10K and 6K trail race and Kids’ Race

Prepare for a rugged, technical off trail race in historic Van Cortlandt Park in the heart of the Bronx. We have added a 6K option, which will be just the first loop of the race and then back to the start at the Tortoise and the Hare. In the case of inclement weather, the race goes on! Student discount. 10th Annual Healthy Minds/Healthy Bodies 5K Run/Walk

Run or walk to raise awareness and support mental health! All proceeds of the 5K go to Mosaic Mental Health, whose mission is to serve families and individuals from all walks of life, to improve the lives of those with mental health difficulties, substance dependency, and other isolating conditions, and to improve the quality of life in all the communities we serve.

Thursdays, May 23 – June 6/20 – July 4/18 – August 1/15
Van Cortlandt TC Summer Series
Run the historic 5 K cross country course for carrot cake prizes. Relay race on 4 July. Special pricing to run all 7 races.  The race on July 4 is a two-person relay, with two-mile legs over cemetery hill.

All race registrations are held at the Tortoise and the Hare on Broadway in front of Lloyd’s Carrot Cake at 6087 Broadway, Bronx, NY 10471. Take the subway to the end of the 1 train at 242nd Street and walk 500 yards. Race Director: Bobby Asher.

Free parking is available at the Van Cortlandt Golf House parking lot – a short walk from the Tortoise and Hare.

Van Cortlandt TC Tough Love Valentine’s 2×2 Relay

For the love of running in all seasons, get a partner and take on the Tough Love race in Van Cortlandt Park, over the 2-mile Cemetery Hill route. As in love, in case of extreme weather, the event may be canceled. Race director Carolyn Hehir.

Van Cortlandt TC Flats Mile and Kids 800 meter

In honor of Global Running Day run a hard, fast, flat mile around the Parade Grounds of Van Cortlandt Park.  Race Director: Bobby Asher.

Registration begins at 9 am, run/walk starts at 11 am.

Refreshments and commemorative t-shirts provided for all run/walk participants.

Meet us at Van Cortlandt Park’s Tortoise & Hare Statue, Broadway & 246 St., Bronx, NY (just north of the # 1 subway’s uptown terminus).
