2022 VCTC Board Candidates

Online voting is now open at the bottom of this page. There are two candidates for two spots so we will only keep voting open for one week.

The candidates for the two positions on the Board with terms beginning in 2022 are John Lanning and Dave King with their candidate statements below. The online voting for these candidates can be found at the bottom of this page. Each paid up member is allowed up to two votes (one for each open position). Two members from each family membership are allowed to vote.

John Lanning

I am running to serve on the VCTC Board of Director’s to give back to a club that has given so much to me and others. As Co-Chairperson of the Membership Committee, I’ve seen how much time and effort so many of our teammates put in to ensure we all have an enjoyable running community. I hope to apply my experience with other sports organizations as VCTC continues grow into the future. As a Board Member, I would work to ensure that VCTC continues to foster a welcoming environment for runners of all ages, abilities and goals.

Dave King

VCTC member since 1988.
Riverdale Ramble Race Director for 4 years.
VCTC Board member for several terms.
VCTC age-group award winner numerous times.
Active participant in VCTC workouts, including helping coaches Ken and Glen.
Intention is to help VCTC prosper in an ever-changing environment.
